This blog is my attempt to introduce more reasonable voices into the political conversation. You can read about my wide-eyed enthusiastic and innocent intentions in my first post, and hopefully get a better sense of those intentions as the blog develops.
I’m a writer and a college English teacher—a common combination in my field—with publications in a wide variety of media. I’ve written and cowritten children’s books and I have covered Asian sports and culture for almost a decade at The Asian Reporter, where I have a monthly column on Asian-American athletes. I’ve written about baseball for Heater Magazine, The Graphical Player, the Hardball Times, and Baseball Prospectus, where I have a weekly fantasy baseball column.
I live in Beaverton, Oregon, nestled between Nike and Intel with my dog Bean.
